Job sources
A job board that is full on the day it opens
An empty board neither ranks on Google nor convinces an employer to pay. JobClay reads jobs from the places companies already publish them, keeps them fresh, and lets you decide which ones your board shows.

What’s included
-
A library of companies
Pick companies from the library, filter by country and field, search by name and add one in a click.
-
Five hiring systems
Read any company’s Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable or SmartRecruiters job board from its address.
-
XML feeds
Indeed’s feed format needs no setup. Any other format is read once you map its fields.
-
Careers pages
Read a careers page that carries job markup, and only where its robots.txt allows it.
-
Rules for what goes live
Tag jobs, set a work mode or a place, or skip jobs by the words in their title, description, company or location.
-
One opening, one job
The same opening listed in two sources, or posted by an employer too, appears once on your board.
How it works
- 1
Choose your sources
Add companies from the library, paste a hiring system’s board address, connect an XML feed or point at a careers page.
- 2
Set your rules
Say which jobs to tag, which to skip, and whether a source’s new jobs wait for your approval.
- 3
Let it run
You choose how often each source is read: hourly, daily or weekly, and daily or weekly for careers pages. New jobs appear, and jobs a company takes down close on your board.

How do I fill a new job board with jobs?
On JobClay you add job sources. A source can be a company from the library, a company’s Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable or SmartRecruiters job board, an XML feed or a careers page. JobClay reads each source on a schedule you choose and lists its jobs on your board, so the board has jobs before any employer has paid you.
Where can a job board get its jobs from?
From companies that publish them. JobClay reads the five hiring systems named above, XML feeds, and careers pages that carry job markup. A board also lists jobs employers post themselves and jobs you post by hand, next to the imported ones.
How many companies can I add from the library?
The library holds hundreds of companies, and each one you add uses one of your plan’s job sources. Each plan sets how many job sources a board can have, so a bigger plan lets you add more companies, feeds and careers pages. The pricing page shows the number for each plan.
Can I import jobs from an XML feed?
Yes. JobClay reads XML feeds in Indeed’s format without any setup. For a feed in another format, you name the element that holds each job and map its fields to the job’s title, description, company, place and so on. Feeds are read as plain data and never run anything.
Will the same job appear twice if two sources list it?
No. JobClay compares each new listing with the jobs already on your board, first by the posting’s own identifier or address, then by company, title and city. When it is the same opening it adds the listing to the existing job instead of making a second one. If it ever joins two jobs that are really different, you can split them and they stay apart.
Can I choose which imported jobs go live?
Yes. A source can keep only jobs with words you list, or skip jobs with other words, or keep only jobs in your board’s country. Rules can tag jobs, set a work mode or a place, or skip a job. You can also make a source’s new jobs wait on an approvals page until you let them go live.
What happens when a company closes a job?
The job closes on your board too, the next time its source is read. If a read fails, or comes back with nothing it should have found, JobClay closes nothing, so a company’s temporary outage does not empty your board. A closed job comes back if its source lists it again.
Is it allowed to read a company’s careers page?
JobClay reads a careers page only when the site’s robots.txt allows it, and it never reads one every hour. It reads pages that carry schema.org job markup.
