Questions

More about what JobClay does:

Is JobClay really free?

Yes. The Free plan is a working job board on a yourname.jobclay.app address, and you need no card to start it. It has smaller limits than the paid plans, which the pricing page lists. Niceboard has no free plan: it offers a 7-day trial.

Does JobClay or Niceboard take a cut of what employers pay?

JobClay does not. Niceboard’s Core and Advanced plans do not either: they are a flat monthly subscription, and Niceboard says the revenue you bring in is yours. Its Enterprise option, for associations and larger boards, lists hybrid or revenue-share pricing. On JobClay, employers pay you directly, by card into your own Stripe account or by bank transfer, and JobClay adds nothing to the charge.

Do I need Stripe to take payments from employers?

Not on JobClay. Employers can pay by card into your own Stripe account, or by bank transfer that you mark as paid when the money arrives, and you can offer either or both. Niceboard’s pricing page says a board that does not use Stripe cannot use Niceboard at this time.

Can a JobClay board run in more than one language?

No. A board has one set of words, and you can change every one of them in the console, the emails included, so a board can run in the language of its niche. Niceboard offers multi-language support from its Advanced plan.

What does Niceboard have that JobClay does not?

A talent pool you can charge employers for, custom job and account fields, several languages on one board, coupon codes, messaging with candidates, webhooks, Zapier, an API, single sign-on, and job boards made for association software such as iMIS and GrowthZone. JobClay has none of these. If your board depends on one of them, Niceboard is the better choice.

How do I move my job board from Niceboard to JobClay?

Your jobs can come across through JobClay’s XML feed reader, which reads Indeed’s format with no setup and other formats once you map their fields, or be posted again on your new board. Old addresses keep working: add a redirect for each one in the console, and visitors and search engines are sent to the new page. Employer and job seeker accounts, job alert subscribers and paid credits do not carry over, so employers and job seekers sign up again on your new board. Write to hello@jobclay.com and we’ll help you move.
