JobClay vs JBoard
JobClay and JBoard both host a job board on your own domain, fill it with jobs and let employers pay you to post. JobClay starts free and puts XML feeds, fast indexing and import rules on every plan; JBoard offers more beyond the board itself, such as resume tools, candidate messaging and an API.

Choose JobClay if
- You want to start on a free plan, with no card, and pay only when your board needs more room.
- You want XML feeds, fast indexing and import rules on your first plan rather than a higher one.
- You want your employers to track applicants through stages, with notes and CSV export, on every plan.
Choose JBoard if
- You need a resume database or resume parsing.
- You need custom fields and filters on your jobs.
- You need employers to message candidates from the board.
- You need Zapier, an API or single sign-on.
- You already run a board on JBoard with years of employer accounts and alert subscribers, which would not move with you.
Is JobClay really free?
Yes. The Free plan is a working job board on a yourname.jobclay.app address, and you need no card to start it. It has smaller limits than the paid plans, which the pricing page lists. JBoard has no free plan: it offers a 14-day trial, and its pricing page says a card is required.
Does JobClay or JBoard take a cut of what employers pay?
Neither does. JBoard charges a flat monthly subscription with no commissions. On JobClay, employers pay you directly, by card into your own Stripe account or by bank transfer, and JobClay adds nothing to the charge.
Which plans include XML feeds and fast indexing?
On JobClay, every plan. An XML feed is one of your job sources, read in Indeed’s format with no setup or in another format once you map its fields. IndexNow tells Bing, Yandex and other engines about new and closed jobs within minutes, and Google’s Indexing API works with a key from your own Google Cloud project. JBoard lists XML feed importers and rapid Google Jobs indexing from its Advanced plan.
What does JBoard have that JobClay does not?
A resume database and resume parsing, custom fields and filters, messaging with candidates, Zapier, an API and single sign-on. JobClay has none of these. If your board depends on one of them, JBoard is the better choice.
How do I move my job board from JBoard to JobClay?
Your jobs can come across through JobClay’s XML feed reader, which reads Indeed’s format with no setup and other formats once you map their fields, or be posted again on your new board. Old addresses keep working: add a redirect for each one in the console, and visitors and search engines are sent to the new page. Employer and job seeker accounts, job alert subscribers and paid credits do not carry over, so employers and job seekers sign up again on your new board. Write to hello@jobclay.com and we’ll help you move.
