Job posting checker: will Google read your jobs?
Enter the address of a job page, or paste its markup. The checker reads the JobPosting data on it, compares it with the rules Google publishes, and lists what to fix, in order of how much it matters.
What it checks, and why the page matters more than the syntax
The checker looks for the properties Google asks for in a JobPosting, and the ones it recommends, then at the page itself: whether it can be indexed, where its canonical link points, and whether the title and the pay in the markup appear on the page.
A page problem matters more than a syntax slip. Perfect markup on a page marked noindex is never shown, and markup that does not match the page can be ignored.
We ran this checker on our own board, peeljobs.com, on November 3, 2026: its five newest job pages had no Must fix items, and the Should fix items were salaries and a job type their employers did not give.
What it does not do
- It reads JSON-LD only. Microdata and RDFa are not read.
- It does not run JavaScript. If the markup is added by a script, paste the finished markup.
- It obeys the site’s robots.txt, and fetches an address only when the file allows it.
- It stores nothing you paste. An address’s answer may be kept for ten minutes.
- It does not submit anything to Google, and it cannot say what Google will do with a page. For that, use Google’s own tools.

Questions
Why check a single job’s page, not my list of jobs?
Google wants JobPosting markup on each job’s own page. A list page carrying many postings is reported as a problem, and only the first posting is checked.
What if my markup is added by JavaScript?
The checker does not run scripts, so it will find nothing. Copy the finished markup from your browser’s developer tools and paste it in the box.
Why was my address refused?
The checker obeys robots.txt, so a site that does not let JobClayBot read a page cannot be checked by address. Paste the page’s markup instead.
Does it change my page?
No. It reads, and shows corrected markup you can copy. It never writes to your site.
Does a clean result mean Google will show my jobs?
No. It means the checker found no problems in what it reads. Google decides what to show; confirm with its Rich Results Test and Search Console.
